Legend has it that Doc and Babe Noss stumbled on some treasure in an abandoned shaft in New Mexico Rocky Mountains in 1937. They took legal ownership of the property, but blundered big-time when they used dynamite to expand the area - - it caved in! Although Doc didn't give up, a partner killed him. The area then was taken over by the government. The Noss family is still trying to gain their rightful access to the land. While no one knows if anyone else has tried to get back to the treasure, buried in the rocks it is possible the government took it without public knowledge.
