The Missing Stash of Dutch Schultz

New York area mobster, Dutch Schultz, was born in 1902 and was killed in 1935 by rival mobsters. During his life, he was involved in speakeasies, prohibition smuggling, tax evasion, murder and violence, and more. Dutch ended up crossing the wrong person, and knew he had a mark on him. It is said that he and his partner had a waterproof safe built and buried Dutch's 7 million dollars cash somewhere in the area. Both of the men died shortly afterwards, and never disclosed the location of the money. Treasure hunters still search the areas for the safe.
