Forrest and Penny Fenn operated a successful artifact and art gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. When Forrest was diagnosed with cancer, he hid the treasure, worth around a million dollars, in the Rocky Mountains. While Forrest survived the cancer, he still hid the treasure. Fenn gave nine clues, and confirmed four have been solved. He also states a few have come within 200 feet of the discovery. There have been at least three deaths confirmed of people searching for the treasure.
