The mystery of the lost Faberge Eggs is still unsolved. Peter Carl Faberge and his team were contracted to create these ornate and richly detailed Faberge eggs as gifts, mostly for Russian Tsars, Alexander III and Nicholas II to give to the ladies of the family. During the Russian Revolution, some eggs became lost and still have yet to be recovered. If the missing eggs were recovered today, they would be worth around 300 million dollars.
