Guess who the Beckhams are supporting at the World Cup final?

If you wondered where the Beckhams’ allegiances lay as the World Cup final approached, then wonder no more.

The football star and his boys Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, were out in full quiffed-up, Brylcreemed force at the Maracanã stadium tonight to watch Argentina take on Germany – and they were very much the boys in blue.
Beckham himself went for what could have been a subtle nod to the Argentinian team colour in a denim shirt. But his boys went all-out in their support for the Latin American team, wearing Argentinian team shirts with Messi’s name on the back.

The Argentinians may well be glad of the boost the Beckham boys’ support will give them, given they are taking on the mighty force of the German team who will be stoked by their 7-1 defeat over Brazil last week… but at the time of writing, with the scoreline at nil-nil and the Germans suffering a few setbacks in the first half of the game, it’s still anyone’s for the taking.
For his part, Rio Ferdinand in the commentators’ box was horrified the boys were wearing Argentina shirts.
‘I can’t believe Beckham has let them wear Argentinian shirts,’ he complained at half time. ‘My boys would never be allowed to do that. They’d be in England kit all the way.’
